What's new
Release notes for The Nonprofit LMS and The Nonprofit LMS Pro.
What changed in each release of The Nonprofit LMS and The Nonprofit LMS Pro, newest first. Keep the two plugins updated together.
The Nonprofit LMS 0.49.0
Back up your site before updating. This release updates the plugin's database. Nothing your students have done is changed, and if a step can't finish, an admin notice says so and it tries again every hour.
- A timed quiz a student left after its time ran out now starts fresh with the full time. The old attempt is marked Expired and doesn't count.
- Reset a student's quiz attempts from their page under Students. Earlier attempts and answers stay in Reports, marked Reset.
- An assignment is handed in once, and a second submission is refused.
- Files a student uploaded but never submitted are cleaned up after a day, and a student can have at most five waiting on one assignment.
- The quiz builder warns you when two answers to a question have the same text.
- True and False show in your site's language.
The Nonprofit LMS Pro 0.12.0
- Needs The Nonprofit LMS 0.48.1 or newer. On an older version, Pro switches itself off and shows a notice until the free plugin is updated.
- The grading queue's Download file link now downloads the student's file with its original name, and works for administrators and the course's instructors.
- Essay answers to a question that was removed from a quiz stay in the grading queue, marked Archived, so they still get a grade.
- Instructors who are allowed to export can only export the courses they're assigned to.
The Nonprofit LMS 0.48.1
- Instructor permissions now check the course an item actually belongs to, so a request can't reach a course its sender isn't assigned to.
The Nonprofit LMS 0.48.0
- Students can upload files to assignments. Files are kept private to the student, the course's instructors and administrators, and a student can take a file off with Remove file before submitting.
- On nginx and OpenLiteSpeed, an admin notice gives the one server rule that protects the submissions folder.
