Reporting

Reports that hold up when the funder asks

Most LMS plugins treat reporting as an afterthought. We built The Nonprofit LMS around it, so the numbers in your grant report come straight from your site instead of a week of spreadsheet cleanup.

Why grant reporting is usually a project

Most LMS plugins are built to sell courses. They're great at orders and revenue, and the answers people give end up stored in ways that are hard to pull back out.

Getting reportable data usually means paid add-ons, then days of copying and cleaning in a spreadsheet.

Every answer is its own record

Each quiz answer, survey response and registration field is saved on its own, tied to the student and the course.

So "everyone from this county who finished in our grant year" is a filter, not a project.

On screen and in a spreadsheet

See it in WordPress. Hand it over as a spreadsheet.

In the free plugin

  • The Students screen filters everyone by course, enrollment dates, status and name, plus any profile field you offer as a filter
  • The Reports dashboard shows enrollments and completion for every course
  • Quiz analysis goes question by question, and flags any question nobody can get right
  • Survey results sit right next to your quiz results
  • Each student's page shows their answers, progress and quiz attempts
  • Questions you remove after students answered them stay in Reports, marked Archived, so your records stay complete

Added with Pro

  • Export students with every profile field, and an address or name split into one column per part
  • Export quiz responses and survey responses
  • Filter exports by registered, enrolled, completed or responded date range to match your grant year
  • Files open in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Instructors who are allowed to export only see the courses they're assigned to

Registration

Collect the right details from day one

Reports are only as good as what you collect. Your registration form asks the questions your funders ask, and every answer lands in your student list.

  • Eleven field types, including dates, addresses, and first and last name
  • An Other choice with a text box for dropdowns, radio buttons and checkboxes
  • A built-in consent checkbox linked to your privacy policy and terms
  • Turn on filtering for the few fields you report by, like organization or county

A tip from the knowledgebase

Collect what you actually need

Every required field is one more hurdle between a visitor and their first course. Ask for the details you report on, and leave the rest optional.

Privacy

Your students' data stays yours

Everything lives on your own WordPress site. The plugin works with WordPress's personal data export and erase tools, so a data request covers profile answers, consent, enrollments, progress, quiz and survey responses, and uploaded files.

When someone asks to be erased, you choose whether their learning records are de-identified, keeping anonymous completion numbers for your reports, or deleted outright. And if you ever uninstall the plugin, your data stays unless you choose otherwise.
