Here’s the short path from a fresh install to your first enrolled student.
- Install and activate the plugin. Go to Plugins, then Add New, then Upload Plugin. Upload The Nonprofit LMS (and Pro, if you have it) and activate.
- Allow registration. Go to Settings, then General, and tick Anyone can register. Without it, the registration form tells visitors that registration isn’t available.
- Create your pages with one click. Go to The Nonprofit LMS, then Settings, then Setup, and click Create the standard pages. You get Courses, Dashboard, My Courses and Register pages, each with the right shortcode on it, and the Courses page becomes your course catalog.
- Add your registration questions. Under The Nonprofit LMS, then Settings, then Profile Fields, add the details you want from every new student.
- Build and publish a course. The Nonprofit LMS, then Add New Course, opens the course builder. A course needs to be published with Enrollment Open turned on (it is by default) to show up in the catalog.
- Send students to your Register page. They sign up, land on the catalog and enroll themselves.
That’s it. Add the Register and Courses pages to your menu so new visitors can find them.
Collect only what you actually need at sign-up. Every required field is one more hurdle between a visitor and their first course.
