Place an interactive element inside the lesson text

Use Insert into content to put an element exactly where you want it between paragraphs.

Interactive elements normally appear stacked at the end of the lesson, in the order you list them. To put one exactly where you want it:

  1. Put your cursor in the lesson content (Visual or Code view).
  2. Click the element’s Insert into content button.

That drops a small placement tag like [lms_element key="k7f3a2c9x"] on its own line. Students never see the tag. They see the element right there, between the paragraphs you put it between.

Each element’s card tells you where it stands: Placed in the lesson text or At the end of the lesson. Clicking Insert a second time doesn’t add a duplicate. It jumps to the tag that’s already there. You can also type or paste a tag by hand, since each card shows its own.

If an element still shows at the end

The tag in the text no longer matches an element, usually because the element was deleted or replaced. A notice under the content editor lists any tag like that so you can take it out. Click the element’s Insert into content button to place it again, and delete the old tag.

A tag inside a code block is left alone as plain text.
